TAMPA, Fla. — A mother who spent six months deployed with the Air Force surprised her son and brother Thursday at a Florida elementary school.
Jewelz Williams thought news crews were there to ask him about the new school, when he saw his mother, Ebony Bailey, walking outside, WFLA reported.
WHO’S CHOPPING ONIONS? 😭❤️ These two Tampa boys thought they were being interviewed about their new school yesterday but were actually being surprised by a very special guest back from deployment with the Air Force . We’re all crying!

Bailey has served 11 years in the Air Force, where she’s a technical sergeant who was recently deployed to Kosovo.
“Mommy,” he yelled, before running over and giving her a hug.
Bailey was also able to see her young brother, Andre Ghee, who attends Tampa Heights Elementary School as well, BayNews9 reported. Andre and Jewelz, both 6, are in the same class at the school.
Bailey brought her son to Tampa so her mother could care for him while she was deployed.
“I’m just happy to be here,” Bailey said. “Words can’t describe how much. I’m happy. It means so much because family is everything.”
Now, the family plans to spend some time together on vacation in Orlando.
