Charli XCX performed at San Francisco's Outside Lands festival on Friday night, but stuck around to make a few guest appearances the following night.

Charli joined alt-rockers The Strokes during their Aug. 8 set for a performance of the band's song "Take It Or Leave It." Strokes member Julian Casablancas introduced her by saying, "We've got a special little guest; a big guest. Well, a superstar." He also noted that The Strokes' new album came out the same day as Charli's Music, Fashion, Film album, but her album outsold theirs.

The performance was included in Amazon Music's livestream of the festival; you can see footage on Instagram.

Charli also popped up during Djo's set at the festival. Djo aka actor Joe Keery was playing his 2025 song "Charlie's Garden," which originally featured a spoken word cameo by his Stranger Things co-star Charlie Heaton. When he played it at the festival, though, Charli appeared on the screen, pretending to leave Djo a voicemail.

“Hey Djo, it’s Charli. I had no idea that you’d written a song about me,” she joked in the video. “That is like, so sweet of you. I’m honored. Anyways, call me back after the show and we can talk about it. Bye!”

Charli wrote on Instagram, "ty@outsidelands sf was tasty <3 see you on the mff tour!!!" The Music, Fashion, Film tour begins in September.
